starts servicing import cars besides VWs, including numerous British cars,
MGs, and Triumphs.

Cars begins to service customers' domestic cars.

1980
Glass Cars
opens a parts store called Dallas Import Car Parts, next-door at 2625 Oak
Lawn, and continued there for about 8 years.
In December,
a fire destroyed our building. However, the community came to our aid and
encouraged us to continue with the business despite the tragic loss.
1993
Body
Shop Opens
Glass Cars
opens its doors for business at its current location, 2621 Oak Lawn Ave. Its
name originates from the fact that Jim made dune buggies and fiberglass kit
cars.
1980s
Gadzooks,
Inc. becomes Glass Cars first customer for VW props.
1990
Christmas
Decorations become a new product line for Glass Cars as they begin to do work
for Innovative Design Solutions.
1992
After the
fire, two new state-of-the-art buildings were erected at the property, allowing
us to better serve our customers' needs.
1993/94
Glass Cars,
Inc. sets the standard for first-class automotive service centers with expert
auto repairs, quality collision repair, and dynamic innovative fiberglass
designs.

In February,
a fire broke out in the body shop.
